"The idea of ‘flying’ as a motif struck me halfway through creating these works as many of them contain elements of ‘wings’, or are inspired by speed and movement through air. This theme of flight and the potential to fly resonates with my artistic purpose and visual language, and so I hope the paintings evoke a sense of freedom and possibility."
